Download Epub Format ↠´ The Red Die PDF by ✓ Alex MacBeth Great sense of placeThe Red Die immersed me in the setting of Mozambique I d recommend it to readers who like to discover the locations that the story is set I ll look out for what this author does next.
The Body Of A Man With A Red Die In His Pocket Is Washed Ashore Near A Quiet Village On The Coast Of The Indian Ocean In Southern Africa But What Looked Initially Like A Corpse That Came In With The Tide Soon Turns Out To Be A Murder Case That Will Lead Comandante Felisberto And His Team To The Edge Of Danger And Despair As They Uncover A Trail Leading Up To The Highest Echelons Of Power In Their Country Can Felisberto And His Motley Crew Of Rural Investigators Solve The Case And Survive I m feeling generous today, so I ve given this 3 stars My recurring thought throughout the whole time of reading this was that the author might possibly be a first time author or even self published.
The whole plot was disjointed, not very believable and frequently confusing As an example, the main character s children were mentioned occasionally in the story but did not play a role nor have speaking parts yet in the last chapter one of them is deemed a sudden important enough role they werent for it to be necessary to include the thoughts of this child I m not a fan of reviews that just describe things as Ok but this really was Not awful, not great but passable Just.
A heart stopping crime adventure in an original setting, ignited by interesting characters and a backdrop of mayhem The Red Die is not your average crime novel it far surpasses the methods of suited detectives in high rise offices In the depths of Mozambique every street poses danger, every mind has its own path to follow Comandante Felisberto and his team are a delight to follow You will laugh, cower, jump in fright and cheer in elation, which all leads up to a climax that will leave you stunned Alex MacBeth s writing is rich in detail, and also flexible in building tension and delivering a swift jab to the face The most original crime thriller you will read this year This story, set in Africa, began like a gently paced murder mystery The detective, Comandante Felisberto, is a great character, but he has his problems to contend with, not only at work but at home too He has an interesting personal history which is gradually revealed as the story unfolds, but he still gets to the bottom of the mystery And some mystery this is too It may start gentle, but the pace soon moves from a trot to a gallop and I found I couldn t put the book down The story twists and turns and at every point when you think Felisberto is going to fail, another twist has you hurtling along a different path I also enjoyed the narrative voice of this book The imagery appealed to my need for colour in anything I read a toffee light on red earth is just one example The sense of place in this story was a triumph I
