She's got her eye and stomach set on a plucky orphan named Mary But Mary is a clever girl who develops magic of her own Marsh is entertaining in this fast moving book and as always she challenges her young readers to stretch their vocabularies and their general knowledge as they delight in a wondrous fantasy story
